This Privacy Policy describes how Quiet Confidence Coaching, doing business as clan (“clan,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit findyourclan.com (the “Site”), submit a form, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with our services. clan provides supported college living and independence coaching services for neurodivergent adults in Arizona and California.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide. When you submit a form, join an interest list, request a tour, enroll, or contact us, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, city/state, your role (student, parent, guardian, or professional), the campus or program you are interested in, and anything you choose to include in a message.

Voluntary disability-related information. Because of the nature of our services, you may choose to share information about a diagnosis, disability, support needs, or funding program (such as an Arizona ESA or California Self-Determination Program). Providing this information is always voluntary. We treat it with heightened care: we use it only to respond to you, evaluate fit, and provide services; we do not use it to build advertising audiences, and we do not sell it.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect device and usage information — such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring pages, and interactions — using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (see Section 3).

Information from other sources. We may receive information from platforms you use to interact with us (for example, social media platforms, scheduling tools, or payment processors) consistent with their terms and your settings.

2. How we use information

•    To respond to inquiries, schedule calls and tours, and manage interest lists and enrollment for our founding cohort and future cohorts;

•    To provide, administer, and improve our programs and services;

•    To send communications you have requested or consented to, including email newsletters and — with your separate express consent — text messages (see Section 5);

•    To operate, analyze, and improve the Site, including measuring which pages and campaigns are effective;

•    To advertise our services, including through the advertising practices described in Section 4;

•    To maintain records in our customer relationship management (CRM) systems;

•    To comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, and protect the rights, safety, and property of clan, our clients, and others.

3. Cookies, analytics, and pixels

We use cookies and similar technologies including: (a) essential cookies required for the Site to function (provided by our website platform, [Squarespace]); (b) analytics tools such as [Squarespace Analytics / Google Analytics] to understand how visitors use the Site; and (c) advertising pixels such as the [Meta Pixel / Google tag / LinkedIn Insight Tag] that help us measure ad performance and show relevant ads on other platforms.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings, and where we display a cookie banner, through its preferences. Industry opt-outs are also available at aboutads.info/choices and optout.networkadvertising.org. Note that the Site is not currently configured to respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals; where legally required, we honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) for California residents. 4. Advertising, custom audiences, and lookalike audiences

Like many organizations, we work with advertising platforms (such as Meta and Google) to reach people who may benefit from our services. This can include:

•    Matched audiences: uploading contact information (such as email addresses or phone numbers) in hashed form to an advertising platform to show ads to our existing contacts (“custom audiences” or “customer match”);

•    Lookalike audiences: asking an advertising platform to find new audiences whose characteristics resemble our existing contacts (“lookalike” or “similar” audiences);

•    Conversion signals: sending conversion signals (for example, that a form was submitted) so platforms can measure and improve ad delivery.

We do not include voluntarily shared disability-related details in audience building. Some of these activities may be considered “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; California residents can opt out as described in Section 9.

5. Text messages (SMS terms)

If you separately consent on our forms, we may send you marketing and informational text messages using automated technology. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for assistance. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We may still send non-marketing messages you request (for example, replies to your question or appointment confirmations).

6. How we share information

•    Service providers who operate on our behalf: website hosting ([Squarespace]), CRM and email/SMS platforms ([e.g., HubSpot / Mailchimp / SMS provider]), scheduling, payment processing, and analytics;

•    Advertising partners as described in Section 4;

•    Business transfers if clan or Quiet Confidence Coaching is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets;

•    Legal purposes when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety;

•    With your consent with your direction or consent (for example, coordinating with a college disability office or a regional center at your request).

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share voluntarily provided disability-related information for advertising purposes.

7. Data retention & security

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above — for example, for the duration of an inquiry, waitlist, or client relationship, plus a reasonable period afterward for legal, accounting, and record-keeping purposes — and then delete or de-identify it. We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards; no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Children

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. Parents and guardians may share information about a student who is a minor when planning for future enrollment; that information is treated as the parent’s submission, and we market only to adults. If you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, contact us and we will delete it.

9. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: (a) know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; (b) access a copy of your personal information; (c) correct inaccurate information; (d) delete personal information, subject to exceptions; (e) opt out of the “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; (f) limit use of sensitive personal information where applicable; and (g) not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.

Categories we collect are described in Section 1 (identifiers; internet activity; and, where you volunteer it, information that may reveal disability status, which we treat as sensitive). We “share” identifiers and internet activity with advertising partners as described in Section 4; we do not sell personal information for money; we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit beyond serving you.

To exercise rights: email [privacy@findyourclan.com] with the subject “California Privacy Request,” or use our [“Your Privacy Choices” link / form]. We will verify your request using the information you provide. You may use an authorized agent with written permission. To opt out of sharing, use the [“Your Privacy Choices”] link or enable Global Privacy Control in your browser.

10. Other U.S. state rights

Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, and Virginia) may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising. Contact us as described above and we will honor rights available under your state’s law.

The Site may link to third-party sites (for example, college or funding-program websites) that have their own privacy practices. We may update this Policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date reflects the current version, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
